The price of our private nurserys per child and per month

What is the price of our private nurserys per child per month in 2021?

The price fixed for a place in one of our nurseries in Luxembourg takes into account several elements and varies for each family.

Parents of foster children can benefit from reduced rates thanks to a contribution from the State. Indeed, the State contributes to childcare costs thanks to the welcome service check (CSA).

The elements taken into account for the price of nurserys per child and per month

The price of a seat in private nursery is not the same depending on your family and professional situation. The price is calculated on a case-by-case basis to take into account your life and your financial reality as accurately as possible.

The elements that we take into account for the calculation are the following:

- The income of the household in which the child lives. The household of the household can be married, pacsé or in cohabitation

- The number of dependent children concerned by family allowances in the household

- The rank of the child in the siblings

- The type of reception structure chosen by the parents: collective reception or parental assistant

- The number of hours of reception in the structure

- Benefits related to the age of the child: 20 hours of free reception for 1-4 year olds (see below)

State participation

The State contributes to the parents' childcare costs through the reception-service check (CSA). This check takes into account the family and financial conditions listed above.

Le CSA allows parents to benefit from reduced costs in our nurserys.

The State contributes financially within the following limits:

- A ceiling of 60 hours of reception per week

- A maximum of 6 euros / hour and per child for reception in a collective structure

- A maximum of 3,75 euros / hour and per child for a reception by a parental assistant from 7:00 a.m. to 19:00 p.m.

- A maximum of 4,25 euros / hour and per child for care by a parental assistant at night (19:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), weekends and public holidays.

- A number of 5 meals per week and 4,50 euros per meal

The calculation of the remaining dependents of the parents is based on the income taken into account by the taxes. The calculation therefore does not take into account family allowances, childbirth allowance, back-to-school allowance, financial aid and voluntary aid from social works.

A scale of the rate of effort required of parents has been established and can be viewed online.

The parents of new children welcomed into our network of nurseries can view their monthly bill and the amount of CSA poured into a secure space.

20 hours of free reception for children from 1 to 4 years old

The Luxembourg State wishes to give the same chance of access to the plurilingual education program regardless of the parents' financial capacities. This multilingual education program aims to familiarize the smallest possible children with Luxembourgish and French. The earlier a language is learned, the easier it is to acquire.

For this, all children aged 1 to 4 who are welcomed in a collective reception structure providing CSA benefit from 20 hours of free reception over a calendar year.

The children concerned must not yet be in school.

This measure is not applied for reception by parental assistants.

Le CSA therefore applies beyond these 20 free hours.

Children who attend school part-time but who are also enrolled in a nursery are entitled to 10 hours of free reception.

Children enrolled in our nurserys and reception systems can therefore benefit from all these favorable measures. The calculation of the price per day and per child is made on a case-by-case basis.
