Child safety: an essential element in our crèches KidsCare

KidsCare

Our crèches KidsCare in Luxembourg prioritize the safety of children in all its aspects. First of all, we welcome them in a safe and adapted environment, in order to avoid all risks of accidents and injuries.

A high level of safety in the nursery is essential for young children, whose development is in full swing. They are discovering the world around them and are naturally curious. To protect these budding explorers, we put in place rigorous and age-appropriate safety measures.

Our private crèches are set up safely to ensure safe indoor and outdoor activities.

Child safety in the care setting

The furniture of our network of nurseries are secured with fixings at their base, making them stable and safe. Games and toys are put away and cleaned. Seats and tables are designed to pose no risk to children.

We ensure that all potentially dangerous objects are out of reach of children. Electrical appliances are secured, and we use socket covers to prevent any electrical accidents.

In order to prevent common household accidents such as burns and falls, we have installed additional safety features. For example, we use safety gates to prevent children from accessing stairs and non-slip mats in areas where there are risks of falling. Multiple potential hazards are eliminated:

  • toxic products at height and locked up,

  • locked up medicines,

  • tools, devices and any potentially dangerous objects out of reach.

Constant supervision is essential to protect children in a childcare environment. Our educators are trained to keep a watchful eye on children at all times, especially during group activities where risks may be higher. This vigilance helps prevent accidents quickly and respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.

A clean environment

In daycare, it is important that the environment is clean at all times. Rigorous and regular cleaning of the premises helps prevent the spread of germs and infections, thus reducing the risk of contagious diseases. By maintaining impeccable play, meal and rest areas, we create a healthy environment where children can develop serenely and in complete safety.

A clean and well-organized environment also helps to limit the risk of accidents caused by poorly stored objects or slippery surfaces. At KidsCare, cleanliness is a priority to provide children with a safe and welcoming space.

safety education

KidsCare has at heartaccompany your children at any age, explaining the safety rules to follow. Education in child protection is fundamental, whether at home or in daycare.

Through play, our professionals recall and explain the rules of protection in the different stages of daily life: how to cross the road, how to go to school, the attitude to adopt in a bathroom... Each activity for children is indeed an ideal place for learning and prevention.

Collaboration with parents

We encourage parents to inform us of any allergies, medical conditions or special needs their child may have. This open communication allows us to tailor our care and take appropriate preventative measures.

We also hold regular meetings with parents to discuss safety issues, share practical tips on home safety and preventing domestic accidents. These meetings are an opportunity for parents to ask questions and share concerns.

Emotional and food security

The nursery services from which the children and their parents benefit allow emotional security, care and quality food.

All our child care systems provide organic, healthy and balanced food. In addition, our professionals constantly act in a spirit of kindness and respect, both for children and adults.

Meals are carefully prepared to avoid any risk of food allergy or intolerance. We also ensure that the food does not present a choking hazard for young children.

Safety of toys and equipment

At KidsCare, we ensure the safety of toys and equipment used by children. All our toys are carefully selected to be age-appropriate and comply with current safety standards. We ensure that toys do not present any risk of suffocation, strangulation or injury.

Outdoor play equipment, such as swings and slides, is regularly inspected to ensure it is in good condition and safe. We use durable, non-toxic materials for all our nursery equipment. In addition, play areas are designed with shock-absorbing surfaces to reduce the risk of injury in the event of a fall.

Safety during special activities

We sometimes organize special activities and educational outings to enrich the children's experience. Safety is always a priority during these events. We carry out risk assessments before each outing and take extra measures to ensure the safety of the children.

Staff safety training

The ongoing training of our nursery professionals is a key element in ensuring the safety of children in our childcare facilities. All members of our team are trained in first aid and emergency management. They learn how to react quickly and effectively in the event of an accident or health problem.

Our teams are trained to identify potential risks and implement preventative measures to avoid accidents. From managing food allergies to preventing choking and identifying signs of discomfort in children, by constantly staying up to date on best safety practices, we can provide an ever safer environment for what is most important to you.
